ComplytoSupply^TM Stages

1. Prioritize Risks
At this initial stage of the ComplytoSupply^TM solution, and as part of our service we will discuss your requirements and prioritize focus areas in relation to the risks you have identified within your organization, such as health & safety, ethical trading or food safety. This approach allows you to categorize your priorities - for example, by geographical location and/or position in the supply chain. Consequently, the appropriate controls can be applied through an auditing framework. BSI has a wealth of knowledge on risk management. Operating as a global company, we can provide research and information on the global issues concerning services and manufacturing in many countries and industry sectors should you need it.

2. Audit Programme
Based upon the discussions, insights and results obtained from the risk prioritization stage, we will be able to devise the audit program with you. This incorporates audit criteria, duration and frequency. The audit programme can be used to verify compliance with your existing codes of practice for your own locations or suppliers, or the internal audit requirements for the maintenance of your third-party certifications, for example for standards such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001. As part of the solution, we offer our own range of checklists based on known standards such as quality, food safety, health and safety, environment, information security and business continuity. These can all be used alongside recognized audit criteria, such as ethical trading codes of practice. Additionally, BSI's unique experience in the development of standards means we can even prepare customized audit criteria based on your own specific requirements. 3. Auditing and Reporting
This auditing and reporting stage provides the foundations for managing your risks. We employ local, native-speaking auditors, familiar with your industry, national requirements and legislation, to conduct your audits. Your assigned BSI auditor will have completed training in your specific requirements in order to evaluate compliance with the set audit criteria, ensuring global consistency. A detailed audit report will be completed for each supplier or location. The audit reports are narrative as well as quantative. Completed audit reports are uploaded to a web-based platform, the BSI Portal.

4. The BSI Portal - Managing Information
BSI's unique, web-based Portal gives you direct, secure access to all your audit information. This online tool allows you to review, monitor and disseminate accurate data from all location or supplier audits instantly, easily and efficiently. You can use many of the features of the Portal to help you manage your information, such as searching for full audit reports. You can analyse the dashboard for individual locations or suppliers to review their compliance status for each individual element of the audit criteria. 5. Apply Controls
Following a review of your audit information, you will be able to take immediate action on any issues that are uncovered, as well as steps to prevent potential future problems. If required, we can also complete follow-up audits to close out any non-conformities discovered during the audits and inform you of the close out status.

6. Re-evaluate Risks
By re-evaluating your risks on an ongoing basis, you can continually refocus and improve your audit program and/or audit criteria to enable ongoing improvement in compliance. New risks may be discovered and the flexibility of BSI's ComplytoSupply^TM solution allows additional requirements to be absorbed into your criteria whenever necessary.
