Route to Registration

BSI Management Systems' registration process makes it easy and economical for you to become registered. Unlike other registrars, BSI Management Systems' certificates do not expire at the end of three years. They are contingent on meeting agreed contractual requirements and validity is maintained through a process of continual assessments and strategic reviews. Also there are no hidden costs for recertification. The BSI Management Systems' ISO 14001 registration process contains the following options:

Quotation given
After assessing your needs we will give you a formal quotation so that you know how much your registration will cost.

Formal application
Once you have completed an application form, return it to us with your registration fee.

Client Manager
You will be allocated with a personal Client Manager, (if you don't already have one) upon return of your form and fee. They will be your exclusive link throughout the registration process and beyond, chosen specifically for their knowledge of the nature of your business.

Pre-assessment questionnaire
Together, you and your Client Manager will review your current Environmental Management System and assess your needs.

Registration and assessment timetable
To be agreed upon by you and your Client Manager and implemented by the Client Manager. At this stage you may find it beneficial to have a pre-assessment or dry run.

Initial assessment
Your Client Manager will carry out a formal initial assessment, over a minimum of 2 visits, to ensure that your system meets the standard's requirements and that you adhere to that system.

Conformity with ISO 14001
In case any parts of your system don't conform to the standard, your Client Manager will discuss your options.

Corrective action plan
You will submit a plan, for correcting any non-conformity, to your Client Manager and a further assessment will be arranged if appropriate.

Confirmation of registration
Following your Client Manager's recommendation, your registration to ISO 14001 will be confirmed by an independent BSI review.

Issue of certificate
Will be issued after confirmation of registration.

Continual assessment
Regular yearly visits by your Client Manager to ensure that you are maintaining compliance.

Continuous care
BSI Management Systems will guide you to continuously improve your business management and efficiency.
