BSI's "BS 25999 Internal Auditor Course" assists participants in developing the skills and knowledge to conduct audits and self-assessments against the requirements of BS 25999-2:2007, Business Continuity Management - Part 2: Specification. Through small group activities, audit role-plays, and lively discussions, students gain a thorough understanding of the principles of auditing and how to apply the guidance of ISO 19011:2002, "Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing" to implement effective audit programmes for a business continuity management system. This course also reviews the Business Continuity Management - Code of Practice, BS 25999-1:2006 and best practice surrounding maintenance and review of business continuity management systems.

Prerequisite: It would be beneficial for participants to have some understanding of business continuity and have good knowledge of the business systems in their organization before attending this course.
Students should note that the content of day 1 of this course is equivalent to the content of BSI's 1-day 'Understanding BS 25999' course. Certificates of attendance are provided at the conclusion of the course.
